A recent study showed that Android users very basic design patterns unlock , so there is great probability that others can guess the combination and access the device.
The research was conducted by Mars Løge, a student at the University of Science and Technology in Norway, who analyzed about 4,000 safety standards in the operating system of Google. It was determined that 77 percent of these combinations starting from a corner and almost half is made from the top left corner.
In addition, the student explained that the 10 percent of those patterns correspond to the initial user name or a family . This causes the possible combinations are reduced to 100 and so an intruder has 10 percent chance of knowing what the pattern is.
The study was conducted with patterns created from touch five sequences (circles), this means that there are about 9,000 possible combinations. However, this number was reduced to 1,624 because people use patterns of four hits. In fact, most of the combinations used movements from left to right and from top to bottom, a trend that makes it easier to guess the key .
Mars Loge suggests the study to create patterns for more than eight touches that are combinations of up to 140,000 options. Another way to protect the cell from unauthorized use, is to create sequences in the form of crosses

Remember to create a password of this kind in your Android, you must go to ‘Settings’ and select ‘Lock screen’. Once there select the ‘Standard’ option and enter the figure you want to use as screen lock. Additionally, you should disable ‘Make pattern visible’, so that the code is not displayed while you are typing.
