The company Kantar study reveals that Android continues to lead among major world markets, despite the great interest in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Android is still mobile operating system most used, outscoring their iOS rivals and Windows Phone, according to a study.
The company studies and analysis of the presence of mobile operating systems Kantar Worldpanel revealed the figures related to the presence of iOS, Android and Windows Phone in the most important markets in America, Europe and Asia until August 2014.
Android is gaining ground. In America platform Google already controls 63.6 percent from 56.1 percent controlling stake in August 2013. Android wasted no presence in any country, except for Spain, where it dropped from 91.2 percent to 88.1 percent.
iOS, Apple’s mobile platform, lost presence in almost every country in the list. But Japan is where the Cupertino company was devastated by his opponents. In the land of the rising sun, iOS fell from 44.5 percent in August 2013 to 27.1 percent in August 2014.
Windows Phone, the third most used mobile platform in the world, takes important steps in Europe. In Italy, where Windows Phone market grew considerably, as has the presence of 14.4 percent, a significant increase from the 3.7 percent it had in August 2013 .
In Latin America, Kantar shows the same story: in Mexico, Android has 84.4 percent, Windows Phone 6.4 percent and 2.5 percent iOS . In Brazil, Android has 89.1 percent, 5.2 percent iOS and Windows Phone 3.8 percent. In Argentina, Android has 86 percent, Windows Phone 7.9 percent and iOS 0.2 percent.
To accompany the figures and the report, Kantar revealed a statement indicating a possible minor change in the figures in the coming months. According to Kantar, Apple numbers increase with the launch of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad 2 and iPad Mini Air 3 devices that arrived in September and October, respectively, and were not counted in this study.
