How traveling users iOS vs Android users – Publimetro Colombia

The hotel search trivago Colombia, analyzed the travel preferences of mobile users with Android and iOS operating system when plan your holiday.

the discussions between users on the pros and cons of each of the operating systems of mobile phones can be endless. But as the saying goes. “Between tastes no trouble” and the same applies in the likes of travel of these two user groups

Results show that e average n technology Android users are willing to spend $ 285,430 per night for a standard double room. Meanwhile, iOS users spend for the same type of room an average of $ 376,096, 27% more than Android users.

Regarding the duration of travel the two groups also differ, while Android users make trips with an average duration of 3 days iOS users do travel with an average of four days duration.

3 stars hotels preferred by both operating systems

for users of both operating systems 3 star hotels are the preferred choice, 24 % of Android users prefer this hotel category while 25% of iOS users prefers it. the two user groups also agree that a hotel with breakfast and pool are the most important factors when traveling.

international destinations are most popular among users iOS

at first glance the top 10 destinations most sought after by users for each operating system seems to be the same. In the first five positions are the same cities in different order, however when looking at the next five destinations in the list you can see the differences.

the results indicate that Android users prefer domestic destinations on international.

Tablet or phone?

97% of Android users searching in Colombia use the application from their phones, while only 3% do so from a tablet. The difference is more significant in the case of iOS users, 87% use the phone to book your stay in trivago while 13% do so from an iPad.
