Andy Rubin, co-founder of Android, announced his departure from Google – Engadget

The changes within Google are at a point never seen before, the Mountain View company is about to lose one of the most important men in command, as according to reports from The Wall Street Journal, Andy Rubin has decided to leave the company .

Android co-founder and one of the main heads in the growth of Google as a company we know today, is leaving her position as vice president Engineering, where he was the responsible departments robotics in the company, with developments like Project Wing.

His resignation is due to starting an incubator for startups interested in robotics as well as in building technology through hardware, which is one of his greatest passions.

In a statement, Larry Page, CEO of Google , appreciates the work and dedication of Andy over the years since Google acquired Android in 2005:

“I want to wish Andy all the best in his new path . With Android you created something truly remarkable, with over one billion users happy. Thank you. “

With this move it seems that the following command will Sundar Pichai, the same as a few days ago received significant new responsibilities on Google, and who took the place of Andy when he left the address Android.
