Among the new features of this update are the mode of the Night Light and direct access to apps when you do a long press on them. In addition, now developers will be able to make circular icons and to include in their apps, sending images, GIFs, and stickers from the keyboard.

“we’re providing a developer preview for the Nexus devices,” wrote Dave Burke, vice president of engineering of Android. “The goal is to publicize any problem that is present with a device in the concrete.”

Burke said that the previous version of Android 7.1 will arrive in November to other devices. In a report earlier Google said that the version for Android users 7.1.x will be available in December with a complete list of compatible devices, among which also were counted and the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and some devices in the family Android One.
