Lollipop Android brings multiple user feature phones and tablets improves function. The function Lollipop has a guest user and can limit what you can do given user.
It’s not a novelty that can create multiple user accounts on an Android tablet, but it is new that we can do on a phone, as the Nexus Android 5.0 6. Lollipop multiuser support extends to phones and improves its function as the Nexus tablet in September.
Multiple users on cell phones
To create or manage users on a phone with Android 5.0 Lollipop, simply open the quick settings and select the photo or icon representing the current user, located in the top right. You can also access this setting by going to Settings and People . From there you can activate a guest user , new user or user already created .
You can also limit what other users can do within your accounts or sessions. For example, you can block calls and texts on a specific user or a user in your device. This can be useful if you pay your phone to your son and do not want to be calling your contacts unintentionally.
The owner is the one who has complete control of the device and can delete any account. The other users can only delete their own information and not that of the others. The guest user works similarly to the way Chrome incognito mode. Any information is stored only temporarily and every time you start the guest mode asks if you want to continue what already existed in that user or if you want to start from scratch.
Multiple user accounts tablets
Although Lollipop Android 5.0 brings multiple user feature phones, Lollipop also improves function tablets such as the Nexus 9. Unlike phones, tablets have the option of creating a Profile , ideal for parents who want to lend a tablet and want to limit their children’s access to services and can have them. Profiles allow you to limit (or enable) the apps and services that the user can use that profile. For example, you can limit your search to Google, Chrome and camera.
The function of multiple user profiles and helps protect your information, like your taste. There is no more need for someone to customize your Home screen ( Home ) or you install apps you’ll never use. Each user download what you want and the information is always kept divided.
It is also useful that you can access and switch between these accounts by opening the quick settings without having to unlock the device.
