Google announced Monday the launch of its application Kids YouTube on iOS and Android, the version of the video service with content and design designed exclusively for children. For now, applications are available only to users of the Play Store and the App Store in the US, but Google promises to add more countries soon
YouTube Kids includes much larger to highlight the content images.; icons with a thicker and notorious design, and even the app has voice recognition, so that children can say the name of your favorite cartoon and the app shows the results
Children -. or parents- – may navigate between categories of app: Shows, Music, Learn and Explore. If you prefer to do it manually, the app also includes a search engine to find the video they are looking but not touching the content for older users.
The content provided is for Kids YouTube different purposes. While YouTube Kids favorite cartoons include DreamWorks, Jim Henson TV, Talking Tom and Friends, Mother Goose Club, among others, also includes educational content from National Geographic Kids and technological content of Reading Rainbow and easy tutorials to make crafts or learn something new
YouTube Kids also includes a timer within the app, so parents will not be ill.; but the application. The app displays an alert on the screen when the allowable session is about to end, thus children do not spend hours in front of the device. The app also includes the option to mute the video, so that children only see images. You can also disable search and children only see the videos in the first section.
YouTube Kids is now available for Android at Google Play and iOS on the App Store.
