The best apps of the week (LXXX): iOS, Android and … – Hypertext

Welcome to Sunday’s gathering with the best applications of the week for mobile favorite operating system of your choice, either iOS, Windows Phone or Android . This highlights in Hypertext week has been very varied, starting from life in Venezuela from Venezuela, Uber key case in Spain, the trivialization of rape in Game of Thrones and an opinion on the disastrous Yulin Festival. And now, on to the applications for this week.

Medium (Android, iOS)

 Medium

Personally, I love to use Medium daily, due to the large number of stories of people, whether they are little known or not available to read. Therefore, and taking advantage of its recent arrival to Android in the form of beta, it was forced to recall their applications for mobile devices. Thus, although the version of iOS takes advantage of Android in terms of updates and features, the beta for Android is already quite competent, and if you want to enjoy only have to register for this community, and once you are accepted, you have to sign up as a beta tester here. Medium is free for both platforms without any in-app purchases within the same.

You can download Medium Android and iOS .

Study Planner (Windows Phone)

 Study Planner

If you are a student and need help to organize your classes or your hours of study, this app is great for you. Study Planner is probably one of the best applications to organize your long days of study with the Windows Phone interface feature, being able to plan and practically everything the way you want: color classes, modify the length of the classes according to duration. The only downside is that the developer has a little abandoned the application, which has not been updated for almost two years, but is very stable and works perfectly. Furthermore, it is free and available for any version of Windows Phone.

You can download Study Planner in the Windows Store .

Office Lens (Android, iOS, Windows Phone)

 Office Lens

Microsoft is doing a great job with their applications not only for its own platform, but Android and iOS alike. A clear example of this is Office Lens , which allows us to cut, enhance and readable images of whiteboards and documents by scanning with the camera of your smartphone, saving the result later in our smartphone or sync OneNote and onedrive. Furthermore, we can convert images into various popular file format, such as PDF, .doc for Word or PowerPoint. In addition, Office Lens is completely free for all platforms. What are you waiting to test?

Ampere (Android)

Ampere

An application that I recently tested and have found your way on several occasions only out of curiosity. With Ampere , we can get an accurate reading of the amount of amperage our smartphone or tablet is receiving during charging. Although it may not seem useful at first, it can serve to check the quality of a charger or a cable when charging, and to determine whether it is appropriate for our smartphone or not. It also has a fully adapted to Material Design interface, so it is super nice when to use and very elegant. Ampere is free , but if you want to support the developer is possible to remove the ads with a purchase in-app.

You can download the Play Store .

Fallout Shelter (IOS)

 Fallout Shelter

One of the novelties he saw during E3 this year was all presented by Bethesda, including a game for smartphones that will accompany the upcoming release of Fallout 4. We talked about Fallout Shelter , a game similar structure or Clash of Clans Farmville, where you have your Shelter or Vault and will be in charge of day to day the same. Both nostalgic for the Fallout series and for those who are new to the universe, it is an entertaining game, nothing heavy, which provides a different approach to anything seen in previous games. Unfortunately, it is at the moment available free only in iOS, and you get to Android still a few months, so many have to wait.

You can download Fallout Shelter iTunes .
