The big business of Google is the advertising. The last September, in one of the rounds of various Google Apps update in Android, news broke: references were detected Ads (Google advertising) code in GMail and YouTube. Had to not think too much, sooner or later the big G introduce advertising on mobile platforms and so has done ads from YouTube videos and recently in the GMail App.
Perhaps you have seen in your Android, although not always appear . advertising appears GMail App by way of an email more , but notable for having a touch of Color that unlike the rest of the post. Also, instead of having time or date of arrival, clearly indicate that this is an advertisement.
I myself have seen this ad several times on my phone in recent weeks, it is not too intrusive, or like “forces” it to continue managing your GMail, just there, and you can remove any other email .
