Google Now: The "Siri" for Android Now Available for ... - Latercera

Google today launched an update to its application Google Now, that its long-awaited new features include support for Apple iOS devices, allowing-like voice assistant Siri to search using voice only and integrating all Google services into one.

One of the qualities of the system lies in the amount of use that the user gives. Thus, the system will learn and can be determined by our customs (using the maps, postal and frequent places we visited), calculating travel times automatically, providing traffic available, alternate routes, flight information, weather or changes in currency eg. All automatically and using the services of search engine-plus-collected data to deliver the information as completely as possible.

However, the system has some limitations that have to do with the integration with the operating system itself, because if Android all services work as one, there are aspects that will not open iOS Notification Center, shop calendar or download. Moreover, it is not yet available in Chile.

Google Now is available for free for Android Jelly Bean (4.1) onwards and for iOS devices.
