This is my Android and my desktop: Adrian Raya - The Android Free - The Free Android

Android-Army1

When I told him to share the look and the story of my Android device an entry to The Free Android , I thought the person was less appropriate for such a task . At the end of the day, right now I’m running near-stock version of Android on a device with a couple of years old. What’s striking here? Are you with the most boring post in history of this your blog? What did I eat today? To know the answer to those questions, you have to continue reading.

In my case my cell phone is not the mirror of the soul. Is organized, spotless and nothing terribly out of place . Instead, my day usually gives a completely opposite: disorganized, ugly, and based on continuous missteps from afar vaguely resembling a life. But one thing.

Mi (s) Android

The model is a Samsung Galaxy S II , perfectly able to run any app and 80% of the games that exist on Google Play. I’m not really a big fan of Samsung, but I got it for these swings that gives you life, and since then I’m happy with it. Go fast enough to not desquiciarme and software layer is not too annoying Samsung and can be ignored. is a phone that meets , and that is usually what it takes to stay happy with a device. Sooner than later I’ll have to change, of course, but when I do I hope to get a device with the same values ??as the Galaxy S II.

mobile as before is another story. A Huawei U8650 specialist me out of my boxes and philosophize about each of my commands before executing them, is a really grim device that is bound to jump from one member to another of my family until the end in a dark alley waiting for his next victim.

Software and widgets

regard to the software, my Galaxy S II runs a stock version of Android 4.1.2, and before you close your tab in disgust I give you, I have to say I am aware that should have put a custom ROM, but for one reason or another I have not done yet. It’s funny because on my computer I have installed multiple operating systems with several desktop environments. I like to tinker with the software of my electronic devices. But with the S II have not done it, probably because, again, do what I ask without question .

A look at the screen I should say one thing: I’m very disorganized, and I need the constant help of widgets and apps to endure another day. Here is the Google widget Keep a great note-taking app that I use constantly, whether to make the shopping list to point strange numbers that may or may not have a motive. Before using the app Quick Note, whose simplicity was exactly what I needed: take notes.

another screen, I have the calendar widget, full of meetings, appointments and entries The Free Android . Again, nothing special but very functional.

apps that I use are divided into information and share that information. For the former story with apps like Google Reader (DEP) and Feedly substitute . They also help others like Press (very useful to follow blogs without cluttering my Reader). Zite helps me discover news sites that normally do not follow, and Pocket I can sync with my computer in case you want to write about them. Finally as a good reader reddit story with two apps. The first, Reddit Sync is perfect for wasting time between pictures of cats and memes. The second, RedReader also is very good, and has free license, but for now it is in beta and it shows.

regard to communication, can not miss the Gmail apps and Gtalk , I talk most of the day. Moreover, Google+ just use it for many reasons. To connect to Twitter using Falcon Pro , probably the best app that has come out in recent months despite the tyrannical behavior of the parent company.

What about the future?

I have clear that sooner or later will change the ROM of my Galaxy S II (Cyanogen? AOKP?), but that does not mean that, often, the default version is sufficient for most. And we must never forget that a smartphone is, above all, a tool to make life easier, not to annoy us.
