Yahoo (NasdaqGS: YHOO – news)! has launched a new weather application for Android that allows the user to know the weather forecast from the next 24 hours until the next 10 days or the likelihood of precipitation. The application comes with new designs and various improvements to the service data and is available in the store of Google (NasdaqGS: GOOG – News).
This application and its new features and was launched by Yahoo! for iOS and now Android users who can enjoy it. One of the most intriguing features is its relationship to the popular Flickr photo service that Yahoo! acquired eight years ago.
this application has added Flickr photos from different places depending on the weather and the time of day at the point where the user is. In other words: Flickr Photos reflect the climate and time.
addition to providing an estimate of up to 10 days, including the likelihood of precipitation, wind and atmospheric pressure, the phases of the moon, about ultraviolet rays, the times of sunrise and sunset and an interactive map as press reports of Yahoo blog.
Furthermore, this application incorporates a new widget on the phone home screen allowing check the weather even when the phone is locked.
