Failures and errors Android 5.0 Lollipop – The Free Android

fault

At last we have among us the final version of the new candy from Google, Android 5.0 Lollipop. This jump so forceful version comes with a radical change in the visuals and some improvements it was time to include. Although they are not all we wanted, as we set up the quick settings panel.

Despite having an operating system that works well finished and great (not both terminals encryption as Nexus series 9 and Nexus 6 ..) we find a series of failures or bugs which will hopefully be corrected soon. You have to tell the good and bad of Android Lollipop, we talked great about the latest Google but also has its problems.

Where is silent mode?

From the origin of times we’ve had three Android in sound condition is concerned. The first and common volume for our notices. The second is discreet vibration and finally the silence mode .

 silent-mode-1

Nexus 5

Well, we do not find in Android Lollipop latter mode, something I and I think many users will miss. We can now enable a Priority mode called where our notifications will not sound but we have marked as priority itself, either a new email or text message. In that case it will vibrate. And if we do not sound at any time, for example sleeping, we will activate the so nothing in which case it may not sound or alarm .

It’s funny because in the Nexus 9 We have been able to prove that we can leave the device at low volumes but still vibrating with notifications, something I should not. We offer the option of silence but does not stop working altogether.

Google is already likely to work correcting this little bug will come in the form of next update, will we have Android 5.0.1 soon?

Why can not I remove the settings for “Invert Colors”?

Another bug that can be found on Android Lollipop is in the panel Quick Settings . If by some chance, researching within Google’s new candy we tested the how to invert colors or any color correction , a new icon will appear in this panel. shortcut to invert colors directly from Notification Center.

The problem that remains constant and found no way to remove it other than reinstalling the OS (somewhat radical option). It is true that there are some adjustments that disappear when not in use but in this case, always remains with us and for perfectionists, can be annoying because descuadra full panel.

High battery consumption when connected to WiFi and connectivity issues

Now let’s talk about a problem that has been reported in several users (we also included) over WiFi. If itself the Nexus 5 has a battery just to finish the day, if connected to WiFi consumes more is not a solution. Users are reporting to Google that notice a significant drop in battery at rest . Something that should not happen and as KitKat versions or preview of Lollipop not happen.

Another problem being reported with respect to WiFi is on the instability of the wireless network WiFi . Some say that the device is disconnected only and other directly do not return to find it in the list of available networks . For the first case we suggest forget the network, reset the device and re-enter our WiFi . In the second case, it is best enter settings access and change the channel to one below 12 .

Even I myself have been able to buy only low channels 5G WiFi networks I connect the Nexus 9 . I just had to get into the settings and change the minor channel, but I still wonder the Nexus 5 finds Nexus and 9 did not.

Error opening the camera if you have activated flashlight

18.11.2014 15.26.37 A minor error but continues to be an operating system problem. If you have seen pictures of Lollipop and more specifically the notification center, you will realize that we find true access already asked for the flashlight. Now if we deploy the middle settings and click on flashlight, your smartphone will show the way in the dark.

But the problem is that if we activated flashlight and opened the camera app, gives us Force close one. That is, while the flashlight has access to flash, no other application can remove it. As we said, it’s a minor problem but it is true that it should be turned off the flash and allow access to the camera, right?

These errors are minor issues that do not impact at all on system performance operating but decline a little user experience , not being perfect at all if these bugs do not exist. Hopefully soon the launch of Google OTA update to fix it.

You find some more Android Lollipop?
