The Android 5.0 update starts Lollipop enabled – CNET Spanish

The new version of Google’s operating system up with the update for the Google Nexus and Play Edition devices.

Google announced Monday that began enable Android 5.0 update Lollipop, the latest version of the operating system that is currently only in the Nexus Nexus 9 and 6.

This version of Android was presented during the developer conference Google I / O in June 2014 under the name Android L.

Android 5.0 improves Lollipop quick settings that were in previous versions and now offers up brightness control, information from the battery and usage data and an option to turn the flash as a flashlight.

Google says Lollipop improves battery life of the device, as well as their performance by using the Android Compiler Runtime (ART) rather than Dalvik.

It also brings Android Lollipop support 64-bit processors to this ecosystem, with the Nexus 9, the first device that looks this feature.

Update Android 5.0 Lollipop

The Nexus devices will be the first to enjoy this new version of Android. Google confirmed that the update will begin with the Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi) and Nexus 10, and then continue with the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (LTE).

Google Play Edition devices ( like the HTC One M8 Google Play Edition and the Moto G GPE) will be the next to receive the update.
