As Lollipop Android 5.0 comes to the main smartphones of 2014 all operators in the US, Google has already launched its own line Nexus with newer Lollipop, Android 5.1. For those who hardly know Android 5.0 Lollipop, here’s what to expect from the next update

We have in our hands Nexus 6 -. The flagship smartphone 2014 presented Lollipop Android – and we could upgrade to Android 5.1 Lollipop before the agenda of the operator, to look for differences in the new OS of Google

Compared to the Moto X 2014 Android 5.0.2 (which technically is not Android pure , but due to minute changes in Motorola, is very close), here are the biggest changes coming with Android 5.1:

System Settings Sound and Notifications

Google has fixed some annoying bugs in the system sound settings and set the new Priority mode and No Interruptions Lollipop Mode for more options easy to understand.

The most important (although ironically, it is a very small change) is that you can now access notification settings while watching videos or listening to music to touch the bell icon on the right to expand it beyond the volume. Previously, there was no way to play media while changing these settings, and that was just silly.

Even silence there is no way to Android 5.1 pure Lollipop, but there are some changes to the ways No Interruptions and Priority almost they make.

The options for “None,” “Priority,” and “All,” now has iconocs, making it more intuitive for those who are not experts Android. Also, when you put the phone in priority or No Interruptions for a specific period of time, the menu will automatically display what time expire those modes.

Finally, you now have the option to enable the next alarm off your “Downtime” – the settings for Interrupt Priority and Non Recurring modes

Quick Setup. A Little More Lively, Useful

The Quick Setup panel (accessed with slip two fingers on the notifications panel) has been changed to make handling easier data connections.

Instead of simply changing options for WiFi and Bluetooth off and catch, Google has added more options to quickly change your Bluetooth or WiFi connection without having to go to Settings. This is one of those small changes resulting in savings during your week long, especially if you jump between wireless networks several times a day

The other change is cosmetic but good. Google added animations to change configuracione as auto-rotate, as well as other changes throughout the system.

Safety Improvements

As Activation Lock Apple, Android 5.1 includes a feature called Lollipop “Device Protection.” The setting, when enabled, makes your Android device is useless to thieves, requiring credentials logon to Google to unlock the phone -. Even after a factory reset

Although it is only available on the Nexus Nexus 6 and 9 now expects new Android phone with 5.1 take advantage of the software. – unless, like Samsung, already have their own version of an anti-theft lock

Set the Display Have More Sense

We think one of the best features of Android 5.0 Lollipop is Set to Screen (read our review of Lollipop for details). It’s like a safety cover that secures an app to the screen, allowing you to share your phone with a friend (or child) while specific the only way your phone can be used.

Now is a little more intuitive, and shows users exactly what pressures to exit “set” when you set it – buttons. and is easier to find the sub-menu Security Settings

Native HD support calls and Dual SIM

HD calls are now native to Lollipop phone with Android 5.1, if supported by the operator, so it will be clearer calls once you upgrade. Supposedly, only the Nexus 6 T-Mobile and Verizon have the feature but expects more devices running Android L 5.1 in these operators include the feature later.

Android 5.1 also includes native support for configurations SIM dual. This is not very important for the US market, but is good for Android internationally. Finally, Google has new APIs for developers in Android 5.1 makes it easy to create apps that take advantage of dual SIM phones.

Other Changes

There are other changes in Android 5.1 as option of hiding notifications on the screen notifications without discarding. The most important are bug fixes, including as most of the reviews, most of the problems with Contacts and memory leak problem.

If only añadiese quick setup Google voice recognition . Perhaps with Android 5.2.
