Android and iOS have crushed the other smartphone operating systems. According to Gartner, 99% of the units sold during the first quarter have one of these operating systems, 84% Android and 15% iOS.

Asia was the only region that kept the penetration rate of mobile Android in the last 2 years. Africa registered the highest increase in use of Android with 10% since 2014. Middle East increased by 8% and Europe 6%.
Oceania, with a 7% increase iOS participation, unseated the United States and Canada as the most faithful to iPhone region. In the US and Canada, iOS had a profit share of 1% since 2014.
The countries with the highest rate of penetration of Android in the world are Bangladesh with 99% and Burundi and Lesotho with 98%. Regarding the use of iOS with 69% lead Monaco, Denmark and Japan with 67% and 63% respectively.
