Transform your old Android into a repeater WiFi – Conectica

Sure you’ve ever had to create a WiFi network from the data of your own mobile. Although on some occasions it is an option really useful, has the downside that restricts the connection of that mobile phone to another WiFi connection. However, there is a way to convert your Android smartphone into a repeater WiFi.

When you don’t offer a direct option to convert an Android smartphone into a repeater WiFi, you’ll have to resort to an application: fqrouter2. This app will let you share the same WiFi network you’re connected to on a mobile phone, with another device.

this is how it works fqrouter2, the app to create a repeater WiFi on your mobile

This type of applications requires access above the operating system, so before you can use it you will need root your mobile (you can do a quick search type "rooting + model of the mobile phone to do so).

once you have access to root, you’ll be able to install fqrouter2 (you can download it on uptodown). Before you open the application, make sure you’re connected to the WiFi network that you want to share. With the application already open, you can activate the option WiFi Repeater, so that it will check both the access to root as the device is able to repeat the WiFi signal.

If your device passes both of these requirements, then simply write the network name (SSID) and password.
