One of the biggest novelties of the Android update 7.1 Nougat is the possibility of applications to insert a search GIFs directly in keyboards as Gboard, and in that direction it seems to be working Twitter, according to a report from 9to5Google, based on some comments from users on Reddit.

The latest beta version of Twitter for Android shows according to the report a support of GIFs in the keyboard. To enable this it is necessary to have a device with Android 7.1 or higher, and a keyboard in use compatible.

This new keyboard GIF is different to the search for GIFs that already existed on Twitter, and that was based on the service Giphy. Now you will have access to various sources to be able to better express your thoughts and emotions in the social network.

According to 9to5Google, it is possible that this option may be launched in a new version of the app in the coming weeks, which will allow all users with Android 7.1 begin to enjoy the update.

Apps of messaging such as Google Allo already have a keyboard GIF, while Gboard has introduced in hundreds of devices from the last year when it was released, including iOS.
