Android will know when and when not lock your smartphone – unocero

Our security measures are somewhat archaic phones, for a long time have had the need for a password, a pattern or PIN few digit to verify that we are the owners of this device.

Although in recent years have also explored other verification methods such as face detection or even the detection of fingerprints as they do now the new iOS devices. like one another Android device. But this does not remove the need to unlock your device, albeit with one finger.

The unlock screen is a highly repetitive task, which even in one day can unlock your device more 150 times (this was told to the implementation of Quality Time on Android).

Google now wants to streamline things so you do not have to do this whole process so repetitive and annoying to unlock your device, this means of detecting on-body or on the body.

Google already had the Smart Lock in Android by some clock or Android Wear by location, but this is the first experiment without an extra device.

What makes this feature is that your phone does not require you to enter your verification provided the phone is in your hand or you in the pants pocket or in your bag should take with you. So if you get your phone pocket will not unlock and simply dedicate yourself to use it.

This system works with the accelerometer of your phone, so while the phone is with you, detects the natural movement of your body and will not require your password. The phone will require a password when it detects “not you”, ie when in a table or somewhere without moving where you left so if someone takes it, the phone will ask for your password to continue using it.

Google already has been experiencing these technologies with Chromebook through unlocked with Android Wear as with Android phones, but this is the first experiment to unlock the phone itself. For now we only have screenshots of this service, but is reported to have been appearing in different devices with Android 5.0+ on.

Would they trust such a system to keep their insurance cell?
