LibreOffice will have a web version and an Android app – lanacion.com (Argentina)

The set of office applications LibreOffice seeks to expand its presence beyond personal computers with an online version and a application for mobile devices with Android. Thus, the office suite tries to catch up with the services offered by Google and Microsoft with its Office 365 Drive and platforms, present in both the Web and on smartphones and tablets.

The initiative for a Web version is not new, since The Document Foundation, the organization behind the office suite, announced in 2011, when he announced the creation of LibreOffice, OpenOffice derivative. Four years later, LibreOffice Online (LOOL) begins to take its first concrete steps IceWarp hand and Collabora, two companies who support the initiative.
