Facebook Messenger Android have new design – unocero (blog)

With the advent of Android 5.0 Lollipop also came a major upgrade to the entire Android ecosystem, the new design language Material design . this new way of designing applications for this operating system already has a couple of years, but there are still some applications that have not been adopted this design completely.

Even is time that some of the most popular applications are still not updated. One is Facebook Messenger now finally adopt Material design for your app Android.

today David Marcus , the manager of Messenger, released through his Facebook profile the new design will have the next version of the Android application, this incorporating several lines of Material Design as the floating button on the bottom right to start new conversations and cleaner and better use of the highlight color interface.

as the same Marcus says in its publication, Messenger is an application used by millions of users and a large design change like this requires a lot of care so that everyone can enjoy the product. While partly true, is their excuse for the delay, because a year and a half developing the new design is too.

This is one of the few times that the Facebook applications are different from versions for other platforms . If you compare versions of iOS and Android currently are almost identical . Now with this new design Facebook feels more natural inside Android.

The redesign of Facebook Messenger is very similar to a Google application called Messenger. Coincidence? I do not think so. At the end of account are both messaging applications that meet almost the same functions. The only difference here is that in the version of Facebook are now all the icons at the top of the screen.

This new design is coming to all users of Android during the day . So do not be surprised if you still do not see the new design will have a few hours to use it before I change
