How to use sign from beta Android and N – CNET in Spanish

Jason Cipriani / CNET

This week Google released a version for developers Android N. But the company changed its tradition of publishing only the image of the operating system and developers to install lines of code and own tools, as Google announced the Android Beta Program.

once that you join that program, your Nexus device will receive updates Android N of the way these updates occur normally, without the need to break your head flashing your Android device to install new updates.

sign the program it is very easy, but there is a huge warning that you should be aware before doing so: the only way to return to a stable version of Android Marshmallow is completely cleaning your device , erasing all of your personal information.

Install Android N is not a permanent decision, only you have to be ready to prepare your device to be a completely new if you decide not to return.

OK, now that you know, this is what you have to do:

  • you must own a Nexus recent to participate. The complete list of devices includes the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, the tablet Pixel C, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player.
  • Visit the Android Beta Program page and sign up with the same Google account you use in the Nexus.
  • There you’ll find a list of devices that qualify for the upgrade. Click Enroll Device with the device where you want to install Android N.
  • Accept the terms and conditions and that famous warning about the possibility of returning to Android Marshmallow, and then click Join Beta .

a few minutes later, your device will ask you to install the update to Android N. can take up to 24 hours for the update reaches your device, according to Google, but in my tests I saw that I could update me less than a minute after joining the program in two different devices.

A good idea is to have on hand your charger and a good Wi-Fi. the update on a Nexus 6P weighed a little more than 1GB.

once you start the installation process, the steps are not very different from the traditional installation of a system mobile operating;. that is, let your device do your homework for yourself

to leave the beta program, visit the page where the program and click is Unenroll device . you will get another update over-the-air to your device that is the one that erases all information you have there to install the latest official version of Android.
