the giant Sony announced that it will take much of their video game PlayStation mobile devices based on Apple’s iOS and Google Android operating systems, with the intention of becoming one of the largest developers of experiences and entertainment for mobile platforms.
the company called ForwardWorks, will start its operations the first of April and will be integrated renowned Sony Interactive Entertainment, (formerly Sony Computer Entertainment), which has long been working on a similar project, called Playstation Mobile, allow certificates smart devices have access to games developed for PlayStation on mobile platforms, but failed to succeed and closed in 2014.
the intention of the new company, according to a statement from Sony is to exploit the intellectual property developed video games for PlayStation, including thematic, historical as well as celebrities games on the platform, with the intention of expanding the experience to millions playing on mobile devices and also create, from those experiences, other games for the enjoyment of mobile users.
the company and the launch of the new games will only be available in Asia and Japan a first step, but is expected soon, perhaps when they developed the first batch of mobile games, Sony extend services to the world. So far the company has not said what will be the first PlayStation game available for iOS and Android mobile platforms.
