Waze for Android debuts refined design and easier to use – CNET in Spanish

The version of Waze for Android is debuting new interface.

The app is being updated gradually to version 4.0 which includes improvements, changes and new issues at the interface of the entire application form.

These new changes to the traffic app and GPS positioning come several months after Waze for iOS was updated in October with the same changes. According to the company of Israeli origin and owned by Google, the changes improve the interface and easy usability of the entire app.

In addition to the new interface, more polished and clean, it is now easier to share the estimated time of arrival at a destination (ETA, for its acronym in English) and share events on a route. Also, the steps necessary to navigate around the app is minimized.

While the company is ready to reach the public, the app does not yet appear in the Play Store. Waze did not give an exact date when the application come to the store, but this should happen in the coming days.

In addition to the change in design, Waze has been experimenting with new features beyond giving the best routes and traffic reporting. The app has been experiencing since mid-2015 with a function for sharing vehicles between people.

Google bought the platform traffic in 2013 by nearly US $ 1.000 million and added its technology to Google Maps, service and It includes real-time traffic in some cities. Google Maps for iOS incorporated the option to add a stop during an established route, one of the functions taken from Waze.
