Google Android to take cars - FORTUNE

MEXICO CITY (CNNExpansión) – Google partnered with several automotive to take your Android system to cars from this year.

technological formed a group called Automotive Open Alliance (OAA, for its acronym in English) along with Audi, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai and Nvidia developer automakers, which Android will take the car from this year.

“This development model and common platform will enable OEMs to bring their drivers and technology create new opportunities for developers to bring powerful experiences for drivers and passengers,” said the FAO said in a statement released Monday.

The group said the time will vary for each auto but expect the first cars arriving with Android later this year.

“Millions of people are already familiar with Android and use it every day, expanding the platform cars enable our industry partners more easily integrate mobile technology in cars,” the president of the Unit Consumers globally from General Motors, Maryu Chan.
