Android lost market share during 2014 – RedUSERS

The domain Android as the operating system in the mobile arena is unquestionable. But that does not mean that every so often, some events seem to want to give you a wake-up call. In particular, 2014 was a brief period after the departure of the new iPhone in iOS gained 4.3% stake and Android fell 2%.

The Fall of Android was 3% in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. None of these movements threatened its position globally.

Carolina Milanesi , Head of Business Research in the United States Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, noted that the strength of Android is in the wide variety of distributors. He also highlighted the licensing system. “Apple never going to dominate the market in terms of volume. It is a company against many, “he said. Another factor is the market sector at that point, which is limited to high-end.

Dominic Sunnebo , director of insight of Kantar, he said he expects Apple to win even more field in the future. The key to this development has been the good reception of the models iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that have achieved impact beyond the user base of the company. The most notable fact is that for the first week of its release, the phones had achieved sales of 10 million units.

Another advantage that found the company founded by Steve Jobs, is that the greatest exponent of Android-based Samsung products, has failed to have a good deal for users. Beyond the traditional launch of the Galaxy S, the South Korean company seems to have continued unabated during 2014
