WhatsApp launched a web version of its Chrome and chat for Android – lanacion.com (Argentina)

Used by over 600 million users, WhatsApp announced the availability of its instant messaging in the Chrome web browser. Thus, the chat succeeds in extending its presence from smartphones and mobile phones to laptops and desktop, a long-awaited feature by members of the platform.

“The Web client only replicates talks that are on the phone, this means that all messages are still on your computer, “the company said in a statement posted on its official blog.

This web client is just an extension of the conversations present in mobile phone, and requires synchronization can be done from the site web.whatsapp.com by a QR code to be scanned from the official application WhatsApp for Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone.

The scan QR codes within the menu is present only in the latest version of the mobile app WhatsApp. WhatsApp also recommends that the mobile phone is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi, to reduce data consumption of mobile connection.

At the moment, this new feature is not yet available for the iPhone, due to limitations of the Apple iOS platform. .
