How to install Facebook Lite on your Android device – CNET in Spanish

The app is only available in some countries in Asia and Africa, but like everything is possible, here’s how to install it.

Facebook

Facebook Monday launched Facebook Lite, a lighter from his regular application version and is aimed at emerging markets in Asia and Africa, where phones are low-end and connections are 2G.

Facebook decided to launch this new application for users of these markets have access to an application’s main functions without sacrificing performance. The Facebook Messenger app is included, support stickers, and a design reminiscent of a version of Facebook for nearly five years.

Facebook Lite is not for everyone. If you want a basic, version with elementary functions almost as light as the wind (weighs only 252KB), here’s how to download and start using it.

  • Make sure you allow downloading and installation of third party applications
As Facebook Lite is only available for some countries, not all users of Play Store application appears. However, Android allows you to install applications outside the Play Store, and that’s what we’ll do next. To give permission to do this, go to Settings & gt; Safety & gt; Activates the “Unknown Sources”.
  • Download the .apk Facebook Lite
Now that your device is able to download .apk (or installation files on Android ), check this site from your phone and download the file.
  • Install Facebook Lite
Once the file has downloaded, simply open it from the download folder or from the notification that the download completed. When the installation finishes, the app is ready to use.

Now, you just need to login with your username and password and you can use the light version of Facebook.

I’ve been using the app for a couple of hours ago, and it works pretty well; even better than I had thought-most notably for being an app so so lightly.

Do you what they think of the app? Give us feedback below. Very soon we will have the full analysis of Facebook Lite.
