Over the years thousands of people have given up part of the processing power of your personal computer science, through various projects, to assist and facilitate research on various topics. Now comes this application to do so while running Android 2.3 or a later version. Following this announcement, developers work quickly to get the iOS app market.

Boinc (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing) was created by researchers at the University of California and aims to donate a device power during his time for purposes ranging from innovative medical therapies to the discovery of new bodies stellar and thus participate in scientific research.

IBM has shared this project, as it will be one of the first companies to benefit from its advantages. With additional processing smartphones, researchers at the IBM World Community Grid and Einsein @ Home project will accelerate research on medical treatments.

Today

, Boinc is compatible with more than 50 volunteer computing projects worldwide. The new Android app is available from July 22 through Google Play Store and works on Android versions 2.3 or later.

This application runs only when the phone is connected and battery charging, or over 95 percent, and only WiFi services without data rate.

One volunteer computing projects that will suit Seti Boinc is also of the University of California at Berkeley, which analyzes radio telescope data in search for intelligent signals from space.
