CSBW: a search tool essential for users to … – Periodismo.com

The loading of Google Now used to be slow when you press the Home button on Android devices. This has been fixed with the last software update, but there are many and better ways of doing a quick search on the Web.

Custom Search Bar Widget (CSBW) is one of them. The little imaginative name of the app is exactly what it promises: A widget with a lot of options to modify its appearance and behavior. When you press the button you get a screen overlay that you can look, the way you want.

The application itself is free; but the in-app purchase unlocks themes that can be applied to the widget. In addition to being able to adjust to the way it looks so it combines very well with the settings of the start screen, CSBW is also an excellent search tool.

You can add a range of search engines to the widget and to use them to find things directly, instead of relying solely on Google. The app is able to search in YouTube, instead of going to the video results of Google.

you can Also add other search options to DuckDuckGo, Amazon, Dropbox, Gmail, Google Drive, Spotify, Twitter, and Wikipedia.

CSBW also allows you to add shortcuts to your favorite apps in the search screen, and even a button to paste what you have in your clipboard into the search box.

The last update of the application added the widget Google Pixel Launcher, which includes the button "G" along with a display with clock, minimalist and date.

If using frequently searches on your phone, or just you enjoy to customize the interface of your Android device, this app will be an excellent complement to the main screen.
