WhatsApp on Android allows you to watch videos without having to download – CNET in Spanish

WhatsApp is not resting…

Just few days ago the messaging platform most used in the world debuted the video. And, apparently, is now testing a new feature as useful as expected: able to watch videos without the need to download them on your phone.

Users of the beta version of WhatsApp on Android, as the guys from the site Android Authority, have discovered that the most recent beta release of the app allows you to view videos on the streaming; that is to say, without having to download the video first, and without that it occupies memory on your phone.

according To the site, when WhatsApp on Android is configured to download multimedia files automatically and receives a video, you will be able to do stream of the video and download it at the same time. In the opposite case — that WhatsApp does not allow automatic download — you can watch the video streaming, but the video will be downloaded only when the user does so manually.

This function is very useful for users on Android, because until now users had to download the video necessarily to be able to see it — something that occupies memory on the device. In Apple’s iOS, the thing is different, because the user can watch videos without the need to download the file on the phone.

By now it is not known whether WhatsApp in Android will allow in the future to see photos without having to download the file in the cell.
