Sony launches the PlayStation Messages application for iOS and Android – CNET in Spanish

The difference is that Sony decided to split the functions and leave everything in PlayStation Messages messaging. In the central PlayStation app, meanwhile, users can manage the download games PS4 control remotely and use the app as a second screen for compatible games.

Sony reveals PlayStation Messages to use if you need a paid account PlayStation Plus. However, most online features, mainly within the games need to be paid either monthly or annually for PS Plus.

Messages app requires Android PlayStation 4 or higher to run. For iOS, the app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS version 7 onwards.
