LG G2-depth analysis of a different Android - IGN Spain

Android handset manufacturers are striving to differentiate their devices from the competition, and as discussed in this analysis LG G2 , LG is no exception. Some companies put more emphasis on quality of materials, while others try to achieve differentiation with additional features or customization options. For LG G2 , the bet of the Korean company has been putting all your physical controls normally found on the sides, in the back. Specifically, a place called ‘Rear Key’.

But LG G2 is much more than the placement of the buttons. The incredibly powerful, well-built and widely available phone deserves to be treated with the same respect as Galaxy S4 or HTC One, but is this enough to compete with some of the best Android phones in history? As you might expect, it takes a while to get used to the rear controls. Three days after exploring and dig my finger indian finally started to remember where the buttons and what they do. The arrangement is a combination of volume control and standard Android button that generally work the same way they would if they were on the edge of the phone. LG to open the camera and Richnote only keep one of the volume buttons and also includes a function (KnockOn) that unlocks the terminal if you press the screen twice. To lock it you just have to do the same in the status bar or in any empty space on the home screen.

words, Rear Key works, as says LG, but after spending time with the device found that the placement of the buttons is as intuitive as problematic. Controls have the rear adds additional steps in other actions. KnockOn, meanwhile, is a very useful feature that I like to see on more handsets (Nokia offers something similar in Lumia range).

For example, when the phone is placed on a flat surface and we catch up the volume without have to unlock (two taps on the screen, without security systems and password), down the status bar and use the volume control. In return, do not worry about accidentally pressing the hold button. In this regard, we should remember that there are somewhat different models, such as Verizon, which offer wireless shit and this requires that the buttons are smaller.

Just across

find the absolutely wonderful IPS LCD screen of 5.2 inches and resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is an impressive density of 424 pixels per inch. The content can be seen even with direct light in many different angles. Moreover, despite having a larger screen, LG G2 is not much bigger than a Galaxy S4, which has a smaller screen (5 inches). LG has done it with touch controls into the screen (something many Android users, including myself included, prefer) and a surprisingly slim frame.
