Android would say goodbye to the application drawer – lagranepoca

(Pixbay / Mämmelä)

The application drawer has been a main feature of Android for many years, but could take second place in the next version of the operating system. The latest rumor indicates that Android N does not consider the applications section mainly.

Android Authority reported recently that the latest builds of Android N not include the applications section. To this this video from Google Maps released on the official Twitter account, in which a home screen Android where direct access to the applications section has been removed shown adds.

Without a section, applications would be installed on the home screen, similar to what happens in iOS and some layers of customization of Android mode.

The video can mean many things. Perhaps the application section is optional, or probably Google has considered substitute another more attractive option. Everything will be confirmed during the next keynote of Google I / O, where we expect to see the announcement of Android N.
