Facebook Live comes to Android users and more countries with iOS – CNET in Spanish

The live broadcasts on Facebook expand and reach more users.

On Friday , Facebook announced that Facebook for Android users finally have the option of using live, the function that allows live broadcasts ( streaming ) to friends within the social network.

As always, Facebook Live for Android starts to be available to users in the US, but soon will reach more countries, following in the footsteps of the availability of the same function in the app for iOS.

Last month, Facebook said that Live reached all social network users and users of an iPhone. In Friday’s announcement, Facebook said that Live came to 30 more countries, in addition to those already available since last month, but did not specify exactly which countries.

Live Facebook unveiled in December for regular users, since for months Facebook Pages had this same function but only could be used by famous people. However, Facebook knew it had to increase the availability of this function due to the success of Periscope, the Twitter service that has the same purpose of live broadcasts.

When a friend or a celebrity who continues Facebook began a streaming the video appears in the News Feed . Users have the option to enable notifications and famous friends, so that when that person starts a transmission, a notification is received.
