These are the phones that will get Android 7.0 Nougat – MDZ Online

just a few days Ago, confirmed the arrival of this new version of the Google operating system to the devices of the range Bike Z and Moto G fourth generation , but today, we can finally say what are 15 of Motorola devices that will receive their portion of Nougat.

What is certain is that, fortunately or unfortunately, we do not get any surprises when you see this list of devices, because we see how to leave behind terminals are relatively old as the Moto G or the Moto E, giving way to new generations of terminals launched from the year 2015. Fortunately, devices like the Moto X Style, or the Moto X Play are found between the plans of update of Lenovo and Motorola. Below, we provide the list of devices that will receive Android 7.0 Nougat:

  • Moto G4
  • Moto G4 Plus
  • Moto G Play
  • Moto X Pure Edition
  • Moto X Style
  • Moto X Play
  • Moto X Force
  • Droid Turbo 2
  • the Droid Maxx 2
  • Moto Z

LG

It’s official: the first device that will have Android 7.0 Nougat from you take out of your box will be the new LG V20, as certified by the official page of Google for Android Nougat. This is the first that a device is not Nexus has the latest Android version.

During the past few years LG has become one of the manufacturers more rapid in updating their terminals (though with exceptions). The LG G4 was the first Android phone that you upgraded to Android Marshmallow, not counting the Nexus, and probably also receive the next update, although not as fast as the LG G5 which, if tradition continues, you could receive Android Nougat shortly after its release. The next smartphone from the Korean manufacturer, the LG V20, will be the first device to have Android 7.0 Nougat. This surely will pave the way for upgrading other devices.

The future ranges of medium-and low-LG is more uncertain, and, as with the rest of the companies, do not constitute a priority for the company. This could be problematic taking into account the overwhelming amount of phones, from entry and mid range that the Korean manufacturer has launched in the few months that we have been of 2016.

Nexus

The terminals Nexus will be, obviously, the first to receive the next major update of Android. Owners can expect to receive Android 7.0 Nougat in their terminals in less than 14 days after its launch, although not all.

HTC

The taiwanese manufacturer seems to be working closely with Google lately. The HTC One A9 was the first phone to hit the market with Android Marshmallow series, with the exception of the Nexus of 2015. The funny thing is that it arrived to the stores a little over a month and a half after the arrival of Marshmallow, and it wasn’t even a flagship. Added to this was the news that, supposedly, HTC has signed a contract with Google that gives the exclusive rights to manufacture Nexus phones over the next three years.

Sony

The japanese company unveiled the list of devices that updated to Android Nougat, this time it was not as ambitious as with Marshmallow. Sony this time includes the seek badge from Xperia Z3+ onwards, and all of the new series of Xperia X. This does not mean that the other older models or mid-range are not going to receive Android 7.0, but for now this has not been confirmed by Sony.

Samsung

If we take a look at the update history of Samsung, you could say that ensures that the software update to flagship of up to two years old, and to terminals of mid-range between a year and year and a half.

This would leave out the Samsung Galaxy S5 and previous, and the Galaxy Note 3 and above. Surely you also will not receive Android Nougat the edition 2015 of the Galaxy line, but the series renewed that has come out this year.

Regarding the refresh rate, Samsung is within the average. Has not been the quickest in updating their flagships to Android Marshmallow, but neither has taken more than six months in doing so.

Huawei

Huawei has a main difference with respect to the rest of manufacturers: sometimes their updates are not carried out via OTA and is necessary to download the ROM from the official support site to be able to update the phone. Except for this, the chinese company is still an upgrade process similar to that of its competitors.

Neither Huawei nor its second brand Honor are among the manufacturers that are more agile in terms of updates is concerned. However, the flagships of both companies tend to receive the update if you have come on the market less than a year and a half before the Android version.

Terminals such as the Huawei Mate’s, Mate 8, and P9 will receive almost with total security Android Nougat (bearing in mind that their predecessors were assured the update to Marshmallow), and the same could be said of Honor 7 (since the 6 has promised its update).
