it does Not matter if your Android phone has expandable storage through a microSD card – one fills any space that you give, either 32GB or 200GB.

These are some easy ways to free up storage on your Android device, both the internal storage as microSD.

Clean the cache

Many Android apps use data stored or stored in the cache to provide a better user experience. The data stored in the cache can save a bit of time (and mobile data), but the cached files of applications are convenient, but not strictly necessary. If you need to quickly free up space on your phone, the application cache is the first place that you should look for.

To delete the cached data from a single application, go to Settings > Applications > Application manager and tap on the application that you want to modify. In the Information menu of the app, tap on Storage and then click Clear cache to clear the cache memory of the application.

To clear the cache in all apps, go to Settings > Storage > Cached data to clean all the cache of all the apps on your phone.

removes your downloads

Your Android phone has a download folder where it stores everything you download: pictures, videos, documents and other files. It is likely that most of the files in your downloads folder are not files that particularly interest you already. So you should be able to free up some storage space by deleting these unnecessary files.

you will Find the downloads folder, which could be called My files, in the app drawer. Tap and hold a file to select it, then tap the trash icon, the delete button or the delete button to get rid of him.

take Advantage of Google Photos

Guess what? Google Photos allows you to perform a backup of an unlimited number of photos. In other words, you can make backup copies of all the photos you have on your Android phone directly to Google Pictures and you’ll have your space in the Google Drive. Once your photos have been copied, you can delete them from your device to free up space.

you Need to enable the backup function and sync Google Photos to take advantage of all this free storage space in the cloud. To do this, open the application Google Pictures and go to Settings > Backup and synchronization and select on.

you Can choose to make a backup copy of your photos with a resolution of “high-quality” (up to 16 megapixels) or make backup copies in the original size. Google Photos offers unlimited storage for photos “high quality”, and any photographs backed with the original size will be the storage limit of Google Drive.

once you have made a backup copy of your photos with Google Photos, you can go to Settings > Free storage of the device and Google Photos delete photos and videos that have been copied.

Move apps to the microSD

it Is likely that applications to occupy the greater part of the storage space of the phone. If you have an Android phone that allows you to add a microSD card for extra storage, it is possible that you can move some apps to the microSD card.

To do this, open Settings and go to Applications > application Manager and touch the app you want to move. If the application can be moved, you will see a button that says Move to SD card – tap this button to move the app to the microSD card. (On some phones, you may need to tap into Storage to find this option). Only part of the application will be moved to the microSD card.

The amount of the application that will move depends on each application and, unfortunately, many big games will not move a significant part of their data to the microSD card.

Move apps to the trash

If you’ve tried all these tips and still need more space, there is no way to avoid it – you’ll have to start eliminating some things. You probably have some (perhaps several) apps on your device that you never use.
