WhatsApp will stop working this month for these iPhone and … – unocero

If you thought to save your iPhone or Android for years was going to make you a special person, it is time to leave aside this idea, or you start to contemplate your smartphone so old it will only be an object of collection, because from the 31st of December you will not have access to your account from WhatsApp if your operating system is very old.

The instant messaging platform took the decision to withdraw support to Windows Phone 7, iOS 6, Android 2.1, Android 2.2 and all those iPhone that can’t update to iOS 7, so you’ll have to take advantage of these christmas time to purchase a smartphone, most recent.

According to the statistics of WhatsApp, these mobile operating systems came to represent a 99.5 percent of the sales of smartphones all over the world, and are now at least 25 percent of equipment sold.

During this past year, WhatsApp has been updated with new features to include video calling, encryption, end-to-end messages, possibility to put text in bold and italic, send GIFs, among other things.

These developments do not work in the older devices; therefore, the messaging platform will provide support to ranges more ancient.

As we commented some days ago, the BlackBerry users, BlackBerry 10 and Nokia Symbian S60 will still have the opportunity of enjoy of WhatsApp until June 30, 2017.
