A feature available in other web browsers for smartphones for years, finally just reached Google Chrome to Android , allowing users browser download web pages for offline viewing.

in addition to the new download manager for Chrome Dev 54, which lets you filter the files by pages, videos , audio, documents, images and others, a new download icon in the browser menu help download the visited website, according gHacks.

to open a web page you need to access the menu downloads, as otherwise it would not be possible. Once opened you can check availability offline by the label “offline” on one side of the address bar, along with a notification that offers reload the page to open the online version.

if you type the web address of a downloaded site, the browser load the online version, behavior that could be modified in future versions of Chrome.

As for now is available on the channel for developers, such feature may not work properly and therefore some websites will not load properly. Chrome Dev [Play Store]
