A last minute rumor about the iPhone 7 speaks of 3GB of RAM and an Apple A10 processor cores at 2.4 GHz, well above the A9 1.85 GHz. How much runs this steed? No need to wait until Wednesday to find out, an alleged iPhone 7 Plus appeared in Geekbench marking muscle.

The device has signed on as iPhone9,3 (the model of the hypothetical new iPhone 5.5 inch) from iOS 10.1, a version of the system that has not yet been officially released. The results leave far behind the processor in the Snapdragon 820 tests mononuclear chip that carry many of the high-end Android this generation, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

In the test single-core, the iPhone rampaging:

  • iPhone 7 (Apple A10): 3379 points
  • iPhone 6s (Apple A9) : 2292 points
  • Note 7 (Snapdragon 820): 1896
    points

In the test multi- core, tied with the Note eight-core:

  • iPhone 7 (Apple A10): 5495 points
  • iPhone 6s (Apple A9): 4293 points
  • Note 7 (Snapdragon 820): 5459
    points

Interestingly, that Geekbench marks a 2GB RAM, as so far with the iPhone 6s instead of 3GB rumored. In any case a generous blow on the table in section hardware is expected. [Slashgear]
