Google will launch Android Wear 2.0 to 2017 – CNET in Spanish

do you Want your smart watch with Android Wear get new features? You’ll have to wait to 2017.

This week, Google announced that Android Wear 2.0, the next major update for watch smart with your operating system, it will not come until next year, as the new version is still in beta phase.

taking Advantage of the announcement of the delay, Google released this week the third beta (or as Google calls them a Developer Preview) for developers, which includes new functions on the keyboard and Play store.

Google said in may that Android Wear 2.0 would this same year, in the fall.

The delay of Android Wear 2.0 is a bad news for the ecosystem of watches intelligent to use the operating system. Its main rivals, Apple watchOS, and Samsung with Tizen OS for the Gear, continue to make progress.

While Apple already released watchOS 3 just a few weeks ago, which corresponds to the third version of its operating system with enhancements such as multitasking, a new app Breath, and new skins with higher level of personalization; Samsung already launched Gear S3 that represents your smart watch most advanced.

This year, the manufacturers of watches with Android Wear have been conspicuous by their absence. While some low-profile as Nixon and Polar will launch models with Android Wear this year, large players such as Huawei and Lenovo (by Bike) has paused its efforts.

at The same time, there are rumors that the manufacturer china’s Huawei have plans to remove the Android Wear watches smart and opt for Tizen, the same as that used by Samsung. This would allow Huawei to not rely on the few updates of Android Wear, and stick to Samsung that is constantly updating Tizen.
