Facebook is encouraging its employees to use Android, and is doing so without leave the option to choose an iPhone like device work. The reason? The social network wants its workers to use phones with the most used operating system in the world to detect common errors and to solve them in time.

” I ordered my staff to select Android devices, because if you let them freedom often prefer an iPhone, “said product manager at Facebook, Chris Cox, a group of reporters, according to a report in Wired. The executive also clarified that it is not leading a revolution against Apple.

The goal of Facebook is simple. “We need [employees] have the same experiences that most Facebook users have today,” Cox said, according to Wired.

This initiative follows that of the “2G Tuesdays”, in which Facebook asked its employees to use a slower network so they could see how the application is behaving, because this is how they see hundreds in developing countries where the networks of the operators do not have Internet at high speeds.

According to the source, this initiative reflects that Facebook, with over 1,500 million users, is about to reach saturation and future growth depend solely on attracting new users in countries in the developing world.

With more than 1,000 million daily active users, Facebook is focused on improving different aspects, among which it includes the way in which the contents and the empowerment of the videos within the social network are shared.
