After numerous rumors and leaks, BlackBerry launched its first device with Android system, putting the future of the hardware business to a company with modern design smartphone called Priv which has a remarkable amount of functions and a sale price high.
The company is betting that the large curved screen Priv, the deployment of Android applications available on the Google Play store and the combination of productivity and security will help rebuild its market share of smartphones which sank to less than 1 percent.
With the growing concern that arouse hacking and data theft, BlackBerry intended to draw attention to its pre DTEK function, which alerts users whenever an application tries to access your data, or turn on the microphone or camera phone.
A feature of the device is a physical keyboard that slides underneath the display. While the small number of Android phones that have this type of keyboard had little success in the market, analysts said most models are outdated and cumbersome.
Early reviews of the device were not uniform. On the positive side their offers security, long battery life, camera, and dual keyboard design, among other functions are highlighted.
However, the main negative point that stood out the Priv was the highest price: USD699 without a contract with you lefónica company in the US
