Marshmallow Android now has a date for OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 – CNET in Spanish

Good news for phone owners known as flagship killer .

The manufacturer announced Monday OnePlus its two flagship phones OnePlus One (2014) and OnePlus 2 (2015) Marshmallow receive Android 6.0 in the first quarter of 2016.

While Marshmallow OnePlus 2 will receive the same period, the update will include the the native API support for the biometric sensor (one of the key features of Android 6.0).

OnePlus says the community asked them a proper API for the sensor, but the company preferred to continue with the standard implementation of Marshmallow. The OnePlus X, the second phone announced this year and it is cheaper than 2, also sweet marshmallow test, but for now has no estimated date.

OnePlus phones use an operating system called OxygenOS, based on Android. While the changes are few, OnePlus need to do tests and work on the new version of OxygenOS to use the new features of Marshmallow.
