The versatility of the Android operating system and is known by all, and something that allows manufacturers to play a lot with this operating system. Without going any further, we can find smart watches as’m Watch to computers running Android, one trend that certainly more and more manufacturers are targeting. In fact, today we have seen HP has gone to said carriage with the new HP Slate 21 AIO .

HP Slate

21 AIO, as you can see in the pictures, is a desktop “all in one” of 21 inches whose peculiarity is that it runs Android instead of any other system OS for desktops like Windows or GNU / Linux, which makes it one of the few (if not the only) desktop computer that will ship with Android 4.2.2 operating system pre-loaded factory.

this computer we find a powerful Nvidia Tegra SoC 4 that will handle the moving images IPS panel 21-inch Full HD that incorporates and, by the way, it is possible tilt at will thanks to the support he has in his reclining rear.

All other technical characteristics have not yet been unveiled by HP, but we assume it will be high-end and will be in accordance with the powerful SoC riding and as you all know, is one of the most powerful we can find today, surpassing the 600 Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos Octa.

Android PC

few months ago I said that the time was right to give the jump to Android computers taking advantage of now the vast majority of these come with touchscreens (which is what Android is designed). But he also spoke of what is probably the biggest drawback it: applications.

While the normal user could replace your computer with Windows / Mac OS X / GNU-Linux by one as the HP Slate 21 AIO, a large majority would not because they would be very limited in terms of programs and applications available, as those currently in Google Play, apart from not having an interface adapted to screens as large as that of a desktop computer, do not offer the same possibilities and options that Windows / Mac OS X / GNU-Linux.

Other than that, seems that Google is not interested in bringing Android to the market as they would have to give up their desktop operating system Chrome OS. So, if Google makes no effort to carry him, the ecosystem will probably oriented phones and tablets and therefore unlikely to have success these computers.

However, I think should abandon Google Chrome OS (or at least leave it in third place) and go for the arrival of Android to desktop computers because they already have a base as strong enough to succeed. All they need is betting heavily on it and do it well.
