Thus, the device is taken “hostage” by denying the user access their files until you make the payment of his ransom. id=”contentNote”> This is a variant of the malware known as FakeAV and so far only affected computers and laptops . This intruder pretends to be an antivirus and intentionally modify the state of computer security and tries to convince the user to purchase a new version of software in order to remedy the infections or problems existing security.
