truBackup, Dropbox backup for Android devices - Bitelia

Though rarely we stop to think, in our mobile devices store large amounts of information that, if lost, would be difficult to replace if you do not have a backup. Although it is a subject I have spoken on more than one occasion, I think I will never get tired of talking about the importance of backing up your data, both in our personal computers and on our mobile devices in addition to additional measures safety. Given that our smartphones accompany us everywhere and are more likely to suffer an accident or lost, having an installed application to perform backups is more than recommended and if we can also save them in the cloud, the scheme is perfect. With that in mind, let’s spend a few minutes to truBackup , a free application for Android devices with which backups and store them in the cloud .

Trubackup

What is what gives us truBackup? As mentioned, truBackup is a free application for Android devices (from Android 2.2) that allows us to back up the contents of our phone, encrypt it to prevent “the curious” (and safely store the data) and also store backup establishing a physical separation with our terminal as the data stored in the cloud, specifically, in our Dropbox account.

The application just drop by Google Play and thus, temporarily available for free but, yes, it is temporary and will have a cost (small but it is important to consider). If you do not have Dropbox account will not be a problem because of the possibility of storing data on the SD card terminal but, yes, it is highly recommended to use the cloud to safeguard your data.

Usage is extremely simple, we must configure only do we safeguard (contacts, SMS, applications, photos, music or videos), how we want to make copies (whole or by incremental backups), when we want to do (every hour, every day at a specific time, every week or every month) and, as a differentiating factor, we manage more than one device and centrally stored in Dropbox all backups. In the same way that is easy to back up, restore and also simple push of a button can restore a device using the data sent to the cloud.

While not the only Android app that backs up, that’s interesting it into account now that is distributed for free and also allows us to uasr Dropbox to store the data.
