Androids, today we really wanted to present an event different from the rest: Extreme Android. On this occasion we celebrate the second edition of this mini competition held last year and it was so well received. Basically, Android is a Extreme programmers encounter based on 5 Android programming challenges, paid 300 Euros each. How it works and where it takes place? Now let’s do this.

Benasque and science

18 years ago created a science center in Benasque, a small town in Aragón (at the foot of the ski slopes of Cerler). This center has been becoming increasingly important, welcoming every summer many conferences, conventions and important people. A couple of years the center has been completely revamped being very cool (http://benasque.org, is the center’s website, with photos and other). Since then, more and more people come and has increased the number of conferences that take place and go throughout the year. One factor that attracts scientists from around the world is the location: a small town in the middle of the Pyrenees, with an excellent climate and hundreds of outdoor activities.

Well, this year we return to do the Extreme Programming Contest Android from July 12 until day 14.

Android Contest

As already mentioned, Android Extreme propose scheduling challenges 5 apps for Android phones and tablets. Each application must be programmed into the intense space of a day and a half. The winner of each challenge will be chosen by voting of all jurors. Each challenge has assigned a prize of 300 Euros for the winner and 2nd place prize of € 100.

Format

So the event will be held.
Friday July 12
– Arrival in Benasque afternoon.
– wine tasting reception at 20pm.
– Announcement of the 5 Android programming challenges.
– Home of programming time.
Saturday July 14
– Free use, day and night, the Science Center to work Benasque Pedro Pascual, discuss, interact.
free coffee at any time!
Sunday July 15
– Electronic Delivery the apk before 10am
– 10:00 h test
applications – Voting
13:00 – 14:00 Award ceremony h
– Free afternoon to visit the valley , excursions, climbing a peak or just relax ;-)

Registration to participate in Extreme Android has two modes:

basic Participation: 30 Euros.

Once confirmed

• participation, attendees can make your reservation for accommodation (if they wish and believe necessary, as the hours of rest will be scarce :-) through our website, taking advantage of the offers available for attendees Benasque Science Center in the different hotels / apartments Benasque. To give you an idea, prices hover between € 33 € -70 / Night

Android To join you must be present at the event. Remote participation is not accepted.
