Google renews Drive for Android to make it more fluĂdo

After announcing just last week changed how to offer free space, reaching 15 GB. Now Google renews Drive for Android to make it more fluid . As always waits iOS, giving preference to its own users.

It is an application focused on better performance, which incorporates a new grid view , with Google Now-style cards, but showing a preview of the files. The issue I think is really a wise move to give more flexibility to the application.

Another very interesting feature recognition scanner with OCR , allowing us to take a picture with your mobile phone, recognize the text of the document, it that speeds lookups then much the same, something that really can be very useful when we accumulate a large number of them in the cloud.

We can also have the files downloaded to our device , accessing them from within the application, which is useful when we work well with tablets that rely on WiFi. For this we have the option on the menu to download a copy.

Another issue

have improved, although this aspect is far from office applications available for Android, is the ability to edit fonts, colors and alignment of cells in spreadsheets . It is a step forward, but in this regard is room for improvement.

Personally

is an application that I use every day more and some of these developments ‘m going to thank a lot . Especially the Grid view and to download documents. To think I will scan using other applications more functionality then allow me to also upload them to drive if you so desire.
