Cortana, the intelligent assistant from Microsoft, will soon operate more integrated in Android.

According to the site MSPowerUser, Microsoft prepares an update to the implementation of Cortana on Android, which will allow it to be able to invoke the virtual assistant from the locked screen and with just a swipe of the finger.

MSPowerUser, a reliable website specialized in Microsoft, says the company is already testing this feature in the beta version of Cortana to Android, so it will be sooner rather than later when we arrive at this new tool.

According to the same site, the new version of Cortana will include the option “Cortana on lock screen”, which translated into English is as “Cortana on the lock screen”. When you select this option, the logo of Cortana will appear at the bottom of the locked screen and you can swipe the same to make queries to Cortana.

The site says this direct link to Cortana can be activated and use despite the user to use any other app to the lock screen, regardless of if you are using the lockscreen of Microsoft, the native Android or any other.

finally, the topic of security. MSPowerUser says that invoking Cortana from the lock screen is possible without the need to unlock the screen, which puts in danger the information of the user. Microsoft would add later a method to avoid this, according to the report.

Cortana, the virtual assistant of Microsoft in its operating systems, is available on Android and iOS by means of an application. The users can enable to test the functionality and intelligence of the wizard that was born from the play Halo.
